Week 27: 261-270

261) What is the most dangerous thing you've done?

Climbing on the back of the motorcycle of a man I'd just met an hour previous, in order to get home from a party. The person I'd arrived with had left, and hadn't returned when the party broke up.

262) Have you ever dated someone your parents didn't like?

Several times:  Mom didn't like my 1st HS boyfriend; neither of them were cracked up about my AF officer; Dad met JF and disapproved; Mom wasn't happy when she learned Rick was twice my age; and the issues I've had in the past 34 years, my dad didn't say much, but Mom isn't happy with the way I'm treated.

263) Which do you prefer: Pony tails or pig tails?

Aren't they the same thing?  One's just shorter and curlier....

264) When have you ever made the 1st move?

Once, when a guy called me under pretext. I let him off the hook and revealed I knew who he was.

265) Have you ever felt violated and if so, in what way?

Twice. Once was when a former boyfriend demanded attention and took it, even though I didn't want it. NOT exactly rape; there was no intercourse. But it felt like it....and in 1990, the lines were blurred. The other was when our storage unit was broken into and robbed.

266) What are you superstitious about?

My sports!  If I were watching the Colts and they do a good thing, I stick around. If they fumble, or cause an interception, then I leave the room.

267) Where are you considered a regular at?

Various restaurants and the coffee shop.  Used to be a regular at karaoke, but none around here anymore.

268) If you were a superhero, what would your name be?

Mighty Writer???

269) In the haste of your daily life, what are you not remembering?

I often forget to eat when I'm in the zone....

270) What is the best thing about being you?

My creativity???

Week 26: 251-260

251) Have you ever been on a group outing and if so, where did you go?
Many times! Last one was wandering around Branson, Mo after dinner

252) Do you like throwing parties?
More the get-together/pitch in types.

253) Have you ever been on TV?
Yes. I've been seen in clips of various festivals, and twice I've been interviewed on internet TV. The first time, I was performing in the Cherry Festival parade and as the camera panned, I marched out of view....then they cut to the person opposite me.

254) What is your idea of moral support?
Being there with a friend, or offering up prayers.

255) Do you own a camera and if so, what was the last photo you took?
With my ACTUAL camera, it was probably a video of me at karaoke.
With my camera phone, it was my tip to see my mom.

256) If you could challenge anyone to a boxing match, whom would you want to fight?
It would have to be someone MUCH weaker than myself, ha ha....

257) What do you think still has a double standard?
OMG....society as a whole has a double standard!  Especially toward women....we now have to PROVE WHY we changed our last names (marriage, divorce), and we still bear the brunt of child care. Men can procreate at will, but if a woman does it, she's labeled a 'slut' who can't keep her legs shut. In cases of rape, its because women don't 'pay attention to their surroundings' or 'dress appropriately' (outdated, yes, but have you SEEN how fashion trends make teenagers look slutty?). I don't see the male gender species being schooled in chivalry anymore.

258) Did you ever skip school and if so, what did you do instead?
Once, in the 5th grade.  I accidentally locked myself out of the house on that particular day and got caught by a neighbor.

Again as a senior; it snowed, so instead of returning to school, I went with a friend to her house, then to Showbiz Pizza, but discovered the outing was canceled, and boy was I in trouble when I returned! I avoided detention, due to it being my 1st offense, but my MOM gave me strict orders not to leave her office.  I found out later she went down to the staff room and laughed about it, saying I'd finally rebelled, and was normal!

259) Do you prefer water skiing or snow skiing?
I've only been snow skiing; tried downhill and didn't particularly like it.  Never got to try cross-country.

260) Rate your table etiquette on a scale of 1-10 (10=outstanding, 1=awful)
Probably an 8 or 9.  I don't think I'd pass muster at a royal event, but I do know which fork to use.

-Watch TV

242) If you could bankrupt one person or company, who would it be?
George Soros or the DNC

243) Who texts you the most and why?
Daughter; she moved and this is the best way to keep in touch, since we're on opposite schedules.  She works days, I work nights.

244) What's the best excuse you've given, or would give to a bill collector?
My phone was stolen (happened in 2023)

245) If you were to go on Dancing With The Stars, whom would you want as your partner?
Someone good and patient.

246) Have you ever made your own ice cream?
No, but I've watched someone else make it.

247) Do you prefer your hair longer or shorter?
Depends on my age/mood.  I've worn it long (to my shoulder blades) in my 20s; after having kids, I shortened it (chopped it all off); in my 50s, I've enjoyed it chin-length (just enough to still make a ponytail!); but when I'm 60, I plan to cut it short again and find my 'little old lady' hairdo.

248) Describe Mondays for you in one word:
Hectic

249) Have you ever run out of gas in your car, and if so, where?
On the interstate.  Fortunately, not far from a gas station!

Keeping your word.

In my writing, I frequently gamble on venues, in hopes of good sales!

Yes!

233) If you could own one famous work of art, what would it be?

238) Do you believe in God or a higher power?

Yes!

239) Where is your favorite place to meditate?

Preferably, in my room, but since I can no longer lay across the bed to do my Quiet Time, and I'm nowhere near a peaceful body of water (lake or ocean), then my desk.

240) If you ever decided to run for President, what would your campaign slogan?

#1, I wouldn't run.

#2, Be kind.

Week 45: 441-450

  441)  Would you ever launch an idea on Kickstarter? I thought about using it to finance one of my books, but never did.  Still have an acc...
