Earlier this month, while shopping for stickers at Walmart, I came across an interesting journal called 2000 Questions About Me. Inside were some interesting questions, such as:
"What's your current state of mind?"
"Do you think the guy should always pay?"
"Who is your favorite movie action hero?"
"Have you ever fired a gun?"
"What is one thing you will never give up on?"
Originally, I wasn't sure how I was going to approach this. Do I put it on my Patreon? Make a blog? Private FB group?
I was NOT going to post one every day, as some of my answers might anger those with opposing views, and believe me, I have NO desire to incite a war of words between people each trying to convince the other is wrong. I've had enough of that earlier in my (naive) social media. I'm older and wiser (at least, so I think!), and haven't yet reached that stage of my life where I feel free to post my opinions and not care if it costs me friends/acquaintances/readers.
Yes, I still care, since we're in troubled times, and Cancel Culture is still real. I have no desire to find myself cancelled, just because I share a certain political, social, or religious view.
So What's The Goal Here?
A safe place, where I can express my opinions, and where others can also express theirs. I posted the cover of the journal and the 1st page, so people could see what type of questions were being asked (NOT the typical "what's your name/birthday/first pet/first house/school etc" ones), and only two people replied. I didn't want to be responsible for running a group, since my energy level is finicky, and 2000 daily questions would span over 5 years! With 13 questions per page, that would take up a little over 5 months, but that also seems excessive. 10 questions? 6 months.
I think I'm over-thinking this.
Sigh. This is why I hate taking the reins of any group. I over-think and want to please everyone.
Come back tomorrow for whatever I decide to post!
And the one rule is:
-NO DISRESPECT ALLOWED! Everyone has a right to their opinion.
I'm glad you want to do this Molly! I think it might be interesting to see what people are thinking today!
ReplyDeleteI am too! Course, I'm gun-shy about expressing my views at time. I'm still not happy with the theme of this; I don't like the way the words appear. Still playing with it:)
