Week 51: 501-510

501:  What do you love about the internet?

Instant information, Facebook, email, and book submissions/publishing opportunities.

502:  Who was the last person to knock at your door?

Emily, the granddaughter's friend.

503:  Where is your ideal place to raise your kids or start a family?

Wherever there is a stable and safe place for kids.  We made a conscious decision to move out of the city when my oldest was ready for kindergarten; I didn't want him in the city school.  Ironically enough, we had to move again ten years later, but the school system was still small.

504:  Do you make choices based on what's best for you or what's easiest?

Whew....that's a hard one.  I'd like to say I decide what's best for everyone involved, but sometimes the choices come down to what's easier.  For instance, I chose safety over happiness; I knew I'd be a horrible single mom, so I chose to stay married in 1993. Now, it's just a matter of convenience; too much paperwork to untangle the finances.

505:  Did you ever sneak out of the house after curfew without your parents knowing?

No; we lived too far out in the country and I didn't have a car.  However, I DID stay out all night once....I worked 2nd shift and a coworker and I ended up spending the night together. I arrived home at 6:30 in the morning, thinking I could sneak back in, but my dad was already awake.  OOPS!

506:  What topic do you always give your two cents on?

Domestic violence

507:  Do you prefer blue or black inked pens?

Black ones.  Not sure why.

508:  Do you read other people's body language and if so, does it help?

Definitely!  Esp one-on-one conversations.

509:  What is your favorite take-out place?

Pizza, Chipotle, Burger King, McD's

510:  Have you ever lied your way out of a bad situation?

A couple of times.....the one in recent memory, I employed the 'technicality'.....I was asked if I'd gone to a specific place to see a specific person, and was able to answer VERY honestly, "No", since I'd seen said person somewhere else!
